Consultancy Services for Concessionary Travel

Overview

This Framework Lot enables the provision of Consultancy Support Services in the delivery of Concessionary Travel Schemes for SAM Members.

It covers a wide range of expert concessionary travel ticketing and revenue services from Scheme development to publishing a Scheme; average fare reimbursement calculations to financial processing, Scheme appeals and operator payment.

It has been devised to enable Suppliers to offer multiple staff across multiple grades to meet a Members need, all of whom are committed to partnership working, including with other consultants.

Who Should Use This Lot

This Lot is suitable for, but not limited to:

  • Local Authorities, Combined Authorities, Regional Transport Bodies, National Governments or Other Public Sector Bodies wishing to procure Consultancy Services for Concessionary Travel;

  • Any Transport Operator wishing to buy Consultancy Services for Concessionary Travel.

The Guidance Notes are designed to assist and inform a SAM Member on all aspects of undertaking a call-off from the Framework, including:

  • Scoping a Member's own requirements;

  • Identifying the most suitable Supplier(s) to meet these requirements;

  • Preparing the Call-Off Order;

  • The process for undertaking a Further-Competition (if one is required); and

  • The costs for using the Framework.
