Real Time Information Display Screens (RTPI)
Overview
This Framework Lot provides Real Time Passenger Information Systems (RTPI) Display Board/Points Equipment and Services.
RTPI Display Systems are important in enabling a customer to understand visually or audibly through a display screen, the arrival time of bus or other transport services and associated messaging to keep the customer updated and able to make informed decisions about their journey.
The RTPI Display Boards/Points capability in terms of connectivity, accuracy, speed and performance are central to how a scheme is perceived and accepted. This Framework hosts a number of RTPI Display Board/Points Suppliers, who are committed to partnership working and the application of Real Time Information Group (RTIG) requirements and principles.
The Framework Lot RTPI Screens are available in a range of sizes and types from large wall mounted indoor TFT Screens, to external totem based battery powered E-Ink screens.
The Framework Lot RTPI Screens also provides a range of additional services.

Who Should Use This Lot
This Lot is suitable for, but not limited to:
Local Authorities, Combined Authorities, Regional Transport Bodies, National Governments or Other Public Sector Bodies wishing to procure Real Time Passenger Information Screens;
Any Transport Operator wishing to buy Real Time Passenger Information Screens;.

Guidance Notes on how a SAM Member can call-off from the Real Time Passenger Information Screens (RTPI) Lot are available here.
The Guidance Notes are designed to assist and inform a SAM Member on all aspects of undertaking a call-off from the Framework, including:
Scoping a Member's own requirements;
Identifying the most suitable Supplier(s) to meet these requirements;
Preparing the Call-Off Order;
The process for undertaking a Further-Competition (if one is required); and
The costs for using the Framework.
